17 January-10 February – Rijeka Carnival in Rijeka
In 2015 Carnival in Rijeka town will be short and intense – the carnival period is set from 17 January until 18 February. The opening event, as always, is Rijeka Carnival Queen Pageant and Handover of the Town Key as a beginning of masked madness. What follows is the most colorful and cheerful period in a year of this region, ending with Children’s Carnival Parade on 7 February and the Grand Finale – International Carnival Parade on 15 February.

29 January-9 February – Samoborski Fasnik in Samobor
Samoborski Fasnik is the most important and most entertaining event in the tourist town of Samobor that during his visit to the maintenance of about 200 000 people.
Samoborski Fasnik has a long tradition of 189 years and among the oldest and largest Croatian Carnival festivities.

30 January-9 February – Split Carnival
Carnival in Split traditionally takes place in the winter.
In 2016 carnival was held in Split town in dates from 30 January to 9 February.
During the Split carnival week also has a children’s carnival, carnival of the animals, numerous musical and dance events.

13 February – Peasants jacquerie / Seljačka buna – battle in Stubica
Peasant Revolt in the Stubica traditionally held in winter time.
Seljačka buna, which took place in 1573, is exciting staging of the peasant revolt and the staging of the final battle (cannons, rifles, legendary weapon peasants, archers, the gentry and serfs army) with the participation of over 100 extras and 150 members of various historical associations.
21-28 February – International Documentary Film festival in Zagreb
The 12th ZagrebDox festival in Zagreb city will be held in 2016.
On the festival will be feature more than 160 films from famous titles to numerous world premieres.

26-27 February – Whisky Fair in Zagreb
For visitors of Whisky Fair in Zagreb city offers opptunity to sample more than 30 different whisky brands. Along with a wide selection of whiskey brands that are available on the Croatian market, the fair will also feature a few rare whiskey brands, and several brands that have gained cult status with whisky fans after production of them were stopped.

2-31 May 2015 – Losinj Cuisine Festival on Losinj island of Kvarner
The Losinj Cuisine Festival takes place for the eight year in a row, with the aim of promoting gastronomic offer, original and autochthonous island cuisine, based on flora and fauna of the island of Losinj. Catering facilities are also involved in the manifestation by offering two specialties based on the given subject.
The presentation will be held on 02 May 2014 on the main town square where all catering facilities that participated in the manifestation will have their presentation.
21-25 May 2014 – Croatia Boat Show in Split
The exhibition presents yachts of various levels, and the equipment for them, as well as services for yachtsmen. The place where the exhibition takes place is the central embankment of Split city, which is in close proximity to the famous Palace of Diocletian (UNESCO), the trademark of the city of Split.

23-30 June – Croatian Summer Salsa festival in Rovinj

5-26 July – Festival Dalmatinskih klapa in Omis
The festival Dalmatinskih klapa in Omis has been located here since 1967. During the festival, time is uniquely allocated to male vocal groups, female vocal groups, children’s vocal groups and folk singers.
This event has greatly contributed to the development and preservation of the culture of a cappella folk singing, and the songs that were performed here for the first time have become a part of Dalmatian culture and many are still sung today.

11-13 July – Ultra Music Festival Europe in Split
Ultra Europe was the European 2013 edition of the Ultra Music Festival that took place in the Split city of Croatia.
Electronic music event organizer Ultra launched a new European edition of the Ultra Music Festival in Croatia under a five-year-plus deal.
Ultra Europe took place 12-14 July 2013 in city of Split (12 and 13 July) and on the island of Hvar (14 July). In Split, the festival goers danced and partied at the Poljud Stadium. On Hvar, the event took place in the Hotel Amfora Grand Beach Resort.
The attendance in Split was estimated at 35,000 on the first night, while the entire weekend drew an estimated 103,000 with attendance from 75+ countries.

14 July – 14 August – Split Summer festival Splitsko ljeto
This festival of refined music and theatrical art rivals that of city Dubrovnik. A comprehensive and varied programme of cultural events in the historical centre of the Split city.

17-27 July 2014 – Croatia Open Umag in Umag
Held in Umag city for more than 20 years, the Summer ATP Tournament is the climax of the tourist season in north-western Istria, and is one of the most important sports and social events in Croatia. The town is then host to world-ranking tennis players, while the cream of society, journalists and reporters, sports experts and tennis aficionados spend time in and around the luxurious tennis complex Stella Maris.
The incontestable king of this tournament is Carlos Moya. Although he retired from professional tennis in late 2010, it will forever be recorded that of the 20 victories in his career, five were won in Umag, the town that made him an honorary citizen and that has many fond memories of him.
Many others have also passed through the Umag ATP tournament on their way to tennis fame: Thomas Muster, Guillermo Canas, Marcelo Rios, Filippo Volandri, David Ferrer, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Nikolay Davydenko, Novak Dokovic, Ivan Ljubicic, and others.

23-30 July – Suncebeat international music festival in Tisno of Sibenik riviera
Every July in the Croatian city of Tisno, not far from the resort of Sibenik, there is held the Suncebeat festival. Fans of electronic music from all over the world come together to one of the most beautiful areas of Dalmatia.

25-27 July 2014 – Rabska Fjera – island Rab
The first and largest medieval summer fair in Croatia, Rabska fjera of Rab island is based on tradition started 21st of July 1364, when the City Council of Rab decided to celebrate and honor King Louis the Great who freed them from the Venetian rule, as well as holiday honoring St. Christopher, patron saint of the town of Rab.
Fjera used to last for 14 days celebrate and praise the saints powers that supposedly saved the town from destruction.
The entire island goes back in time during those days. Small artisan stores move to the streets, so you can have your belt or a perfumed pomade made in front of your eyes, while your hair is being braided with tiny flowers into a typical do from the medieval times.
Freshly fried šulčići are served and at the beach an entire fishermen village is built altogether with the traditional tools, machines and even toys for children. Air is filled with the song and music, while tuna, fritule, cheese and wine are served to passers by.

Loveweek Festival – a week of croatian electro music in the biggest clubs Zrce Beach of island Pag.

16-19 August – Days of Diocletian in Split
This fun musical costumed event of city Split is the historical event that will show a credible way the rule of Emperor Diocletian in Split with all the essential features of this period.
These days Split will go back in time when the city walked the famous Roman emperor Diocletian. The streets and squares will line up of the Roman legions, the Emperor Diocletian, together with the parade of carriages lead the Roman legions from the waterfront to greet the Peristyle where the crowd, will present a co-ruler Diocletian and family and the city will be able to hear the sounds of trumpets, drummers, Roman music …

Historical mega spectacle Renaissance Festival in Koprivnica (119 km from Zagreb) kerning late medieval historical facts and originality of Koprivnica, Drava and the Croatian cultural heritage values of the Western European civilization circle (which is a part of Croatia), which is manifested through numerous upcoming knight, crafts and musical groups from nearly ten European countries.

September – Big Game Fishing in Jezera of Sibenik riviera
The best fishermen of the world come to Jezera of Sibenik riviera for the Big Game Fishing competition, where they compete in big fish sport fishing.
The Big Game Fishing competition lasts a week, and throughout the week, everything takes place “under the sign of the fish”, and what is caught is eaten.

12 – 14 September – Giostra historical festival in Porec
Giostra festival is held in Porec every year on the second weekend of September.
Porec historical festival – Giostra gathers over 250 participants in costumes who, throughout the 3 festival days, evoke for the spectators life in the Baroque period thus making it a unique festival in Croatia.
This cultural, educational and tourist manifestation stems from historical facts, so most of its events are connected to the 18th century. The central festival event, which also gave Giostra its name, is a knight tournament Giostra, reconstructed from the rules of a tournament held in Porec in the year 1745.

14 – 21 September – Festival Croatian music and food Rujanfest in Zagreb
Rujandest is the only festival of Croatian national music and gastronomy.

21 September-2 November – Zigante Truffle Days in Istria
In the heart of the Motovun forest, one of the most important areas for harvesting the white truffle in Istria penninsula, Zigante Tartufi Days are being held every year.
This long event is being held over seven weekends during autumn (21.09. – 02.11.2014). That is precious tuber that literally measured in grams as gold like a magnet for visitors, showed guests from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Austria and as far as Japan, which are constant visitors to this unique project. It was this event celebrated Livade as a world centre of the Istrian white truffles, and turned this place into a single marketplace, only one of its kind in the country.
Truffle Fair and Exhibition is an ideal opportunity for exploring and tasting truffles and its presentation. Every year here, and selects the most beautiful truffle, which is possible at a public auction and buy it.

October – Croatian festival of jams and marmalades in Dubrovnik

16 – 19 October – Pula Boat Fair
The Pula Boat Fair yacht exhibition has been organised in Pula city since 2010. In 2013, the 4th exhibition took place. In 2013, at the yacht exhibition in Pula, there were 8 and 13 m long yachts of the local shipyard presented — for the first time in a world-class event. The visitors of the exhibition were shown over 50 vessels. Over 100 companies from Slovenia, Serbia, Italy and Croatia visited the exhibition.

23-26 October – Good Food Festival
From 23 to 26 October 2014, for the very first time, Dubrovnik will host Good Food Festival, a gastronomy event.
The four day Good Food Festival will include several culinary workshops, presentations and tasting of the specialties of the region. Dubrovnik Table, the new cookbook in English, will also be presented, as well as Sweet Tooth Map – a map for those with a sweet tooth, Eat & Walk gastro tours, 100 kn festival menus offered by Dubrovnik restaurants, Pancake Festival for children and the highlight of the festival – Dinner With a Famous Chef – with chef Mate Jankovic, and numerous other surprises in store.
The programme of the Good Food Festival will also include the screening of films the topic of which is food, Eat & Walk gastro tours, and one of the main events, the traditional Dubrovackatrpeza.
23-26 October – Biograd Boat Show
Biograd Boat Show Accepted as 34th Member If the IFBSO – International Federation of Boat Show Organizers. In 2014 year Biograd Boat Show in Biograd na Moru will be another record show, marking 16 years of continuous growth, with all of the expanded exhibition space sold out 3 weeks in advance. More than 275 contracted exhibitors will exhibit many more nautical brands, and about 300 boats.
18-24 December – Codfish Days, Dubrovnik
Days of Codfish are organized in the centre of Dubrovnik town from 18th to 24th of December.
The guests can to test Codfish in red wine and Codfish in Bianco – the traditional
Christmas dishes, and other dishes from cod: cod soup, risotto and pate of cod, piroške with
potatoes and codfish or codfish “alla Vicentina” and much more.
Events of the Code Fish Days are held on Stradun – the main street of Dubrovnik – as well as in a few restaurants in the city.
